Salman Khan's "Kick" is now set to break the records of the star's last film "Jai Ho", released earlier this year.
"Jai Ho", released on 24 January, remains the highest grosser film of 2014, with the nett total of ₹116 crore. But it now seems that "Kick" will beat the ₹116 crore benchmark within five days. The action drama had a superb fourth day at the Indian box office.
Within four days, the film earned ₹98 crore from theaters in India. It fell ₹2 crore short of touching the coveted ₹100 crore mark but comparing to other movies released this year, "Kick" has put up a good show at the box office.
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, "Kick" had a phenomenal first Monday at the domestic box office. It earned ₹14.41 crore on its fourth day, bringing its nett domestic total to ₹98.14 crore.

Sajid Nadiadwala's directorial debut has also made a strong four-day total at the overseas box office. The action drama, which is a remake of the Telugu blockbuster film of the same name, has raked in ₹24.05 crore in four days from overseas box office.
As the Eid festivities began yesterday, #Kick biz zooms up in international markets. Overseas total till Mon: $ 4 million [₹ 24.05 cr].
The film performed best in the US market, where it minted ₹4.99 crore in the opening weekend, followed by the Gulf region with around ₹4 crore.
Here is the opening weekend breakup of "Kick" at overseas box office, as provided by Bollywood Hungama.
US-Canada: From the US theaters, the film minted ₹4.99 crore ($829,411) from 141 screens, while from Canada it fetched ₹1.17 crore (US$ 194,016) from 22 screens.
UAE-GCC: In its opening weekend including Thursday's preview shows, "Kick" raked in ₹4.09 crore (AED 2,500,000).
UK-Ireland: The film is running on 137 screens in the UK-Ireland region and fetched ₹2.44 crore (£239,150).
Australia: From 25 screens, it minted ₹1.48 crore (A$ 263,095) in the first three days.
New Zealand and Malaysia: These two countries have the lowest opening weekend total. From New Zealand it raked in ₹41.92 lakh (NZ$ 81,721) and from Malaysia ₹5.98 lakh (MYR 31,588).
The film is also set to open with a bang at the Pakistan box office, where Salman has a huge fan following. Like India, the preview screenings in Pakistan received positive response.
"By the way the advance bookings are going and seeing the huge crowds turning up for the preview screenings, Kick should be the biggest grosser and record breaker in Pakistan," film distributor and exhibitor Nadeem Mandviwalla told Press Trust of India.
Till now, Aamir Khan's "Dhoom 3" is holding the record for the highest opening day and first week grosser at box offices in Pakistan. Now with the Eid release, "Kick" is set to beat that target and take the top position.
