There have been rumours doing the rounds for the past few days that Simbu will make a special appearance in a song in Ajith-Gautham Menon's "Thala 55" (Ajith's 55th film).</div>

It is well known that Simbu is a big fan of Ajith and the actor himself has confessed it on several occasions. Even before "Thala 55" could go on floors, there were speculations that Simbu will be part of the film. However, sources close to Gautham Menon and Ajith had denied it as baseless rumours.</div>

"Thala 55" shooting is happening in Chennai and according to reports, 50 percent of the shoot is completed. Anushka Shetty, Trisha Krishnan, Arun Vijay, Vivek, Malayalam actress Devi Ajith, baby Anikha and "Thalaivasal" Vijay are also part of the film's cast.</div>
