An emotional Sania Mirza, the leading tennis starlet of India, has cried before media while giving a special interview. With comments and accusations heaping up about her local status as she got appointed as brand ambassador of Telangna state, Sania broke into tears asking 'How many times I should prove that I'm Indian?'
Unfazed by the hasty remarks against her in the name of Pakistani daughter-in-law, Sania took it strongly the other day and explained about her ancestral origin and connection with Hyderabad city. However, when she participated in a debate today on a national television, she broke down and cried about these unfair remarks.
'I don't know how many times I have to prove my Indianness and prove my patriotism. Even after my marriage, I'm winning medals for India only', she said, emotionally. Reacting on the whole episode, top brass BJP and Congress leaders have disconnected themselves from statements of their colleagues and praised KCR for appointing her as brand ambassador.
With BJP leader K Laxman questioning the credentials of Sania Mirza as KCR led TRS government appointed her as a ambassador of state, all this discussion started. Also some hardcore Telangana activists are asking what Sania has done to Telangana when youths are dying and streets are burning. Some rated this as a stunt to attract minority voters in the upcoming GHMC polls.
