Cell phone towers won't cause cancer

The Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) on Thursday today said that there was no threat of cancer from the electromagnetic field (EMF) emanating from cell phone towers and mobile phones.'</div>

Armed with several studies and an expert panel of eminent oncologists the association refuted allegations that the radiation from cells has been causing cancer the COAI termed such fears as baseless. 'The studies on 4800 cell towers in Hyderabad have shown that the cell towers comply with the standards. There are 800 million mobile users in India and not even a single study could prove that the towers were adding to the number of the cancer patients in the country.</div>
