Taapsee Pannu is tipped to be paired opposite Vicky Donor star Ayushman Khurana in his upcoming Bollywood venture, tentatively titled, Hamara Bajaj. Yami Gautam was tipped to play the lead in the film, initially to have be directed by Shoojit Sarcar. It is learnt that the filmmakers have had a change of heart and have approached Taapsee Pannu.
When contacted, the actress admits being in talks about the project which is now being directed by Amit Roy, the director of Taapsee's upcoming rom-com Runningshaadi.com. "I share a great rapport with Amit and he's great to work with.
I would love to work with him again. Shoojit asked Amit to take over the project recently and he is still developing the script. Amit has spoken to me about the film and is planning to incorporate a few changes to suit his sensibility and once he's done with that, will narrate the plot to me," says Taapsee.
The actress,we hear, is likely to star in a big ticket Tamil-Telugu bilingual film starring a popular Tamil star as well. While Taapsee admits as much, she's reluctant to go into the details yet. "Yes there is an exciting project in the pipeline but it's too early to talk about it. I've maintained that I will be very careful about what film I take up in South next," says the actress, who is taking off to Greece with her sister, to celebrate her birthday.
