Ever since Queen hit the theatres, Kangana Ranaut has not only become the queen of Bollywood but has also attained international fame. Not so long time ago, she signed a French film opposite Irrfan Khan, titled Divine Lovers, directed by Sai Kabir. Now we hear that the Queen actor has been approached for an Italian film. Sources close to her said that director Edoardo De Angelis contacted Kangana to play the lead in an Italian film opposite Massimiliano Gallo. While she is excited about the project, she is yet to give a nod.
Kangana will soon begin shooting for Nikhil Advani’s Katti Batti opposite Imran Khan. She then has the sequel of Tanu Weds Manu in the pipeline and the French film with Irrfan Khan. As she has so many pending projects and can’t begin shooting for the Italian film till the end of 2015, the Queen actor is skeptical about taking the signing amount for the film, said the source.
When Kangana was asked about this, she said, “I was offered the lead role opposite Massimiliano Gallo. I am still contemplating it because I have almost six projects lined up, and that has me booked till the beginning of 2016.” She is also very happy that European filmmakers are keen to work with her. She added, “It feels nice that after Queen, people such as producers of my film with Irrfan, are offering projects to me. I think the European market has opened up for me.”
